Cast Announced For Staged Reading Of The War

Startup Productions has announced the casting for the premier staged reading of The War, a new musical by Michal Ehrenreich. Directed by Rachel Klein with musical director Luke Williams and arrangements by Andy Peterson, The War will be performed at two showings on April 18, 2018 at The Cell Theater. Set to a dynamic score, The War follows the destiny of a family in a land torn apart by an incomprehensible war. Can two young lovers on opposite sides of the conflict find their way?

The 14 person cast includes, in alphabetical order: Laura Cetti (A New Brain; Pieces The Musical), Bradley Dean (Dear Evan Hansen; Evita), Christian Doyle (Assassins), Greg Driscoll (Shrek The Musical National Tour) , Samuel Druhora (Tiny Mustache), Hillary Fisher, Joey Kipp, Nick Magnanti (Launching; A Charlie Brown Christmas), Tara Martinez (Don’t Tell Mamma), Sam McLellan (The Last Five Years), Joseph Redman (Baby), Julia Cassandra Smith (Mamma Mia National Tour), and Jordan Wolfe (All For Joe).

The creative team includes Writer/Composer/Lyricist Michael Ehrenreich (Medicine the Musical), Director Rachel Klein (Red Roses Green Gold; More Than All the World), Musical Director Luke Williams (More than All The World; The Last Five Years), and arrangements by Andy Peterson (More Than All The World; Atomic).

The reading is free for anyone to attend, but tickets should be reserved on-line prior to the performance. Ticket-holders will be seated on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets may be reserved here.
